Granite Talon Tire Levers
Granite Talon Tire Levers
Description
The Granite Talon is a pair of bike tire levers that clip together into master link pliers. Use them apart to lift a tire off the rim. Clip them together and the stainless steel tips open the quick link on a 9 to 12-speed chain.
One lever carries a pair of spare quick links in a recess on its side, so the links you need for a trailside chain fix travel with the tool that opens them. Quick links not included.
Fiber-reinforced nylon levers with stainless steel tips, 130 × 19 × 8 mm and 40 g for the pair, in black or orange. Pack it with a Punk CO2 inflator, or strap the kit to your frame with a Rockband.
  Feature
Opens quick links
Clip the two levers together and the stainless steel tips become master link pliers for 9 to 12-speed chains.
Tire levers first
Apart, they're two fiber-reinforced nylon levers for lifting a tire bead off the rim.
Spare links ride along
A recess in one lever holds a pair of spare quick links, so the links and the tool that opens them stay together. Quick links not included.
Open a quick link in three steps
Clip the levers together
Line up the pivots and press the two levers together so they hinge like pliers, with the stainless steel tips at the jaws.
Seat the tips on the chain
Set the tips on the rollers either side of the quick link, one on each side.
Squeeze to release
Squeeze the handles. The link's pins slide toward each other and the two halves come apart.
