With compatibility for 9 to 12-speed chains, the Stash Chain Tool is a versatile companion for various chain setups. It even includes a built-in quick-link storage, ensuring you're prepared for unexpected chain issues.

Note: Handlebar inner diameter must be greater than 17.5mm to fit Stash chain tool.

Stash works with bars with an inner diameter over 18mm and a 4" straight section at the end.

Note: Vibrocore bars are known not to work with Stash.

Overall the product has some heft and appears well made. I had issues tightening it in my aluminum bars. Ultimately that didn’t matter because the tool is held in place by my grip, which covers the bar end holding the tool in place. This is the standard type of grip most mountain bike riders have. If you have a grip with an open end the inability to tighten would be a problem.

Really like this tool but make sure and install it all the way into the bar and tighten it down really well. I lost mine the first time out 🙁 I have since installed another tool and the bar end plug kit and have not had an issue on multiple rides down the mountain Love the Granite tool collection! All my tools are out of my pack and on my bike making for a much more comfortable ride and lighter pack!

Good quality chain tool. It falls off and disappears though with heavy vibration or a tree clip. Very unfortunate because while it was secured it saved the day on two occasions
