Kit d’outil multifonction Granite Stash RCX
Kit d’outil multifonction Granite Stash RCX
Description
Eight tools, always on the bike
Pull the top cap and the folding tool lifts out on the expander - 2 to 6 mm hex, T25 and a flat-head, ready before you're off the bike.
A spoke key and valve tool too
The spoke key trues a wheel across 0 to 3 nipple sizes and unthreads a Presta valve core. It rides inside the steerer with the multi-tool.
  Feature
Round threadless steerers, 23.5-27 mm
The tool body is 23.3 mm across and 100 mm long, so it needs a round steerer with a 23.5 to 27 mm inner diameter and a threadless headset.
Road, gravel and closed carbon forks
The expander replaces the star nut, so forks with no opening at the base of the steerer fit. It sits flush in the stem when you're not using it.
Tapered MTB fork? Use the Stash RT
Inner-tapered forks like the RockShox Pike and Lyrik or Fox 36 and 38 don't take the RCX expander. The Stash RT replaces the star nut and fits those instead.

Install
1. Clear the steerer
Take off the stem cap and stem. Pull out the old compression plug or star nut and wipe the inside of the steerer clean.
2. Drop in the housing
Unscrew the M6 bolt from the tool housing, then lower the housing with the compression plug still attached into the steerer.
3. Tighten the plug to 8 Nm
Tighten the compression plug with the 6 mm hex key to 8 Nm, then lift the housing out and leave the plug in the steerer.
4. Refit the stem
Fit the spacers and stem so the steerer sits about 3 mm below the top, then slide the housing back in through the stem.
5. Set the preload
Run the M6 bolt down through the housing into the plug. Tighten with the 5 mm key to 1-2 Nm, until the headset has no play and turns smoothly.
6. Align and load
Straighten the bar and torque the stem bolts to the stem maker's spec. Drop the multi-tool in and close the cap.
