Description

The Granite Aux is a side-loading carbon bottle cage that mounts two ways: bolt it to standard bottle bosses, or strap it to any frame, fork or seatpost with the strap kit — for full-suspension mountain bikes, small frames and any bike with no bottle mounts.

The strap kit uses two silicone-coated hook-and-loop straps and a grippy rubber pad between the cage and the frame, so the cage holds still on rough ground and doesn't twist when you pull the bottle. The strap kit fits tubes from 27.2 to 70 mm; the Aux E+ kit fits fat and e-bike downtubes from 70 to 130 mm.

The cage is carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic, 45 g, 145 mm tall. The side opening lets you grab and drop the bottle from the side in tight frames. Black.

Thread the straps

Thread the straps

Pass the two straps through the slots in the cage, silicone side facing the frame. Clean the tube and set the grippy pad between the cage and the frame.

Wrap and buckle

Wrap and buckle

Loop each strap around the tube and back through the buckle. Position the cage where you want it.

Fasten and check

Fasten and check

Pull the straps tight, press the hook-and-loop down, and check the cage doesn't move. Trim any excess strap.
